The Reformation: 500th Anniversary
A Brief Collection of Reformation Documents and Summaries
Edited by Rev. Jeffray Greene, Ph.D.
"We have heard of the 95 Theses, but what does this document say?"
This short book is a collection and summary of some of the key documents of the Reformation. Assembled and edited by the Rev. Jeffray Greene for the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation in 2017, it is meant to be a reference-resource for congregations and study groups, to familiarize laity with the scope and contents of these important texts. (The length of this book has been kept brief to allow congregations to make it available to people at a reasonable price.)
The book includes the following documents:
1) Text of the Three Chief Articles
(the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Athanasian Creed)
2) Slogans of the Reformation
(a list of the Solae)
3) Summary of the Articles in the Augsburg Confession
(a paraphrased description of each article)
4) Full Text of the Ninety-Five Theses
(traditional English translation)
5) The "95 Theses for 2017"
(a doctrinal declaration for our modern day, written by Jeffray Greene)
